In the California Paddling scene Katie Scott has risen to the top as one of the best female kayakers on the river. Her passion and drive for whitewater have brought her all around the world, each year improving in both freestyle and extreme paddling. This year especially, Katie came into her own on the river. On most of the big multi days in California Katie was running everything the boys were, and then some. Although still lacking big drop experience, her ability to push herself in a realm where few female paddlers are found, earns her a Rider Of The Year nomination.
